Symposium Research Topic Sign-up

Hi everyone!

So the way this works is: everyone should sign up for the candidate whom they are most interested in researching by leaving a comment for that particular blog entry. We are aiming for even distribution of the UCAAPer-to-candidate ratio. So if you see that substantially more people have signed up for, say, Ralph Nader, please consider signing up for another less-loved candidate :)

Once again, here are the issues that we should roughly be outlining (not that you are limited to discussing ONLY these topics!) --

• Iraq/Wars
• Education
• Energy/environment
• Health Care
• Immigration

Also, PLEASE indicate if you are interested in being the point person for your candidate. That would be greatly appreciated!

Once again, please e-mail me the final result of your group's research by midnight on 10/31 (Friday) in a somewhat organized fashion so I can just insert it into the Powerpoint.

Come One, Come All

So, I guess this inaugural post should serve as something of a mission statement or a ribbon-cutting ceremony? This blog is to establish another means of communication for our UCAAP family. Hopefully, we can use this as a place to promote service opportunities, raise questions about the role of volunteerism and civic engagement, and to generally keep tabs on one another. Please feel free to post any exciting revelations or interesting links across which you stumble! This is our stomping grounds.
